Turn a Newspaper Seed-Pot Maker...

Newspaper Seed Pot

A nifty little project to make a jig for making seed starting pots out of newspaper. Can probably be done in a couple of hours at the lathe, or even less if you're not too particular. A three-part video walks you through all the steps. If you have friends or relatives who garden, this will be much appreciated... Yourself too!

Inside-Out Turning Tutorial...

Inside-Out Turning

A video tutorial on the process of Inside-Out or Reverse Turning. This method uses three, diamond-shaped pieces of wood, temporarily joined together to make a turning blank. The blank is turned to shape on the lathe and then the pieces are separated, reversed and permanently glued together. The blank then goes back on the lathe and the second side is turned. Unique and fun project.

A four segment video tutorial on making a wooden door stopper on the Lathe. Project yields two stoppers from one turning blank. This is a easy project and is a very good exercise in spindle turning. There is a minimum of tools needed and is a great way to use of scraps of wood from your shop.
